Need to share your Excel spreadsheet as a PDF so others can view it without Excel? Here are 4 easy methods — one is completely free in your browser.

Method 1 — Nexus Excel to PDF (Free, Any Device)

Upload your XLSX or CSV file to Nexus Excel to PDF. See a live preview of your data, choose landscape or portrait orientation, then convert. The print dialog opens — choose Save as PDF. Done.

Method 2 — Direct from Microsoft Excel

In Excel: File → Export → Create PDF/XPS. This is the most accurate method as it uses Excel's own rendering engine. Choose the page size and orientation before exporting.

💡 Excel Tip: Before converting, set your print area (Page Layout → Print Area → Set Print Area) to ensure only the data you want appears in the PDF.

Method 3 — Google Sheets (Free)

If your spreadsheet is in Google Sheets: File → Download → PDF Document. Google gives excellent PDF export options including page fit, margins, and which sheets to include.

Method 4 — Print to PDF (Any Program)

Open in any spreadsheet viewer → Print → Save as PDF. Works on Windows, Mac, and mobile. The least control but always available.
